The vineyard is mainly planted with the three traditionnal grape varieties of Burgundy : Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté. We also cultivate Pinot Blanc and Pinot Beurot. It is located on the hillsides faced to the south in front of our village.
The production concerns the appellations Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits, Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Bourgogne Aligoté.
The vineyard stretches over 26 hectares. We also cultivate 3 hectares of blackcurrant.
Les Renardes and Le Clos du Vignon are two particular terroirs of the domain.
Five generations followed one another on the family estate. The bottle marketing has been developped by Maurice and his wife Anne Marie at the beginning of the sixties. Then their two sons Jean and Daniel took over continuing to develop the activity and to improve the techniques.
Nicolas Daniel's son has been working in the domain since 2007.
He is baking up his father and his uncle with a commercial secretary and two vineyard workers.
The appelation Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits concerns 16 villages in the hilly region that dominates Nuits Saint Georges. The appelation is composed with many different terroirs. The vineyard's altitude goes from 300 to 450 metres.
Our parcels are next to Marey les Fussey all less than 2 km from the cellar
Our parcel is at the extrem north of the appelation area that dominates Beaune very close from the Hautes Côtes de Nuits.
Each year we market about 75 000 bottles.
